We have experienced wonderful results from hand raising these beautiful birds. Most of the Ringnecks we had seen were aviary raised and did not exhibit pet quality behavior that we were wanting from our babies. Again, nurturing and socialization produce lovely babies. They will fly to you and give you kisses and can be trained to fly around a room and land on a perch before they are completely weaned! This year, we had a baby that loved to sit quietly on my shoulder while I worked in the baby room. It made sweet little sounds and gave neck sugars They will not be noisy when taught to talk, whistle and say things like "Whee!"

We raise mostly Lutinos and believe that the buyer should be careful when purchasing some genetic deviations.

Of course, a good diet of our sprouts, veggies, fruit with pellets and a little seed will product and maintain a gorgeous bird.
